How Is A Handmade Bespoke Bowtie Crafted?

When you scroll through pages of beautiful handmade bow ties, you may not consider the painstaking process that is executed to design and create your bow tie by hand. Each bow tie is a one of a kind reflection of the talented artists working behind the scenes at Lingo Luxe Bespoke. 

Handmade Bow Ties: Conception to Creation

Bow ties are a fantastic way to customize any menswear with a flair of personality. Adding a collection of handmade bow ties to your wardrobe is an investment that will easily skyrocket your image. 

Step One: Bespoke Discovery Call

The first step in the creation of a handmade bespoke bow tie is to schedule a 15 minute discovery call with our experienced designers. During the conversation, one of our designers will ask you a few questions about whether the bow tie is for a special event, casual or business wear. The designer will also get a feel for your personality and the type of fabric and design style that will compliment your the best. 

Step Two: Fabric Selection

Your designer will compile a customized pdf of recommended fabric selections. This offering is exclusive to you and will likely include some seasonal fabrics and unique patterns. We only offer premium fabrics that are guaranteed to uphold the integrity of the shape of the bow tie and the ease with which it may be tied or fastened over and over. This step is only the beginning of the process of hand crafting a bow tie unique to your style and preferences. Your selection will be submitted to your designer.

Step Three: Technical Mock Up Approval

We will create a technical mock up based on your fabric selection and email you a rendering of your tie for approval. Once you see the rendering of your bow tie with your custom fabric selection, your excitement will begin to grow.

Step Four: Fabric Cutting

Your fabric selection will be hand cut according to our custom patterns. Fabrics for neck wear are cut on a bias allows for the fabrics to give and yield to the proper shape required for a bow tie. Depending on the pattern the fabric can only be cut in one direction.

Step Five: Sewing & Pressing

The tie must be hand sewed precisely so that the bow tie lays correctly. Once you receive your handmade bow tie, you will notice the quality of the hand stitching and will appreciate the years of experience that have been invested in your bow tie. The quality of the pressing is imperative for a tie that will tie and stand up correctly. 

Step Six: Labeling

The final step is the addition of the hand stitched Lingo Luxe Bespoke label, ensuring that your bow tie is one of a kind and perfectly suited to your wardrobe.
